  1. ABOUT THESE TERMS

    These Customer Terms & Conditions apply when you use the Logcheck Online website, portal, booking system, digital logbook, service reminder system or any related service.

    In these terms, “Logcheck Online”, “we”, “our” or “us” means Logcheck Online Pty Ltd trading as Logcheck Online.

    The customer is referred to as “you” or “your”.

    By using Logcheck Online, creating an account, ticking the terms and conditions checkbox, booking a service, making payment or using the digital logbook, you agree to these terms.

  2. WHAT LOGCHECK ONLINE DOES

    Logcheck Online allows customers to book vehicle servicing and related automotive services with participating mechanics.

    Logcheck Online provides a platform that may include:

    • service selection;
    • pricing for selected services;
    • mechanic selection;
    • online booking;
    • payment processing;
    • customer receipts;
    • invoices;
    • digital logbook records;
    • service reminders;
    • odometer-based reminders;
    • registration and eSafety check reminders;
    • customer support for service-related disputes.

    Logcheck Online issues the invoice to you for the service.

    The physical service, inspection, repair work, workmanship and mechanical work are performed by independent contractor mechanics.

  3. MECHANICS ARE INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

    Mechanics who perform services through Logcheck Online are independent contractors.

    They are not employees of Logcheck Online.

    Logcheck Online takes reasonable steps to onboard mechanics and require them to hold suitable licences, qualifications and insurance.

    However, the mechanic is responsible for performing the work, workmanship, inspections, diagnosis, repairs, safety, service quality and compliance with applicable laws.

  4. VEHICLE SERVICE INFORMATION AND LOGBOOK REQUIREMENTS

    Logcheck Online takes reasonable steps to provide accurate service information, pricing, service intervals, part inclusions and vehicle servicing requirements.

    However, vehicle servicing requirements can vary depending on the manufacturer, vehicle model, build date, engine type, odometer, service history, previous repairs, usage, condition and your physical logbook.

    You agree that:

    • you are responsible for checking your vehicle logbook;
    • you should confirm that the selected service is suitable for your vehicle;
    • Logcheck Online does not guarantee that all vehicle service information is complete, accurate, current or suitable for your exact vehicle;
    • Logcheck Online is not responsible for errors caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated vehicle information;
    • Logcheck Online is not responsible if you select the wrong vehicle, variant of vehicle, service interval, or provide incorrect vehicle details.

    If you are unsure, you should check your vehicle logbook or contact Logcheck Online before booking.

  5. YOUR VEHICLE DETAILS

    You must provide accurate and complete information when using Logcheck Online.

    This includes your:

    • name;
    • phone number;
    • email address;
    • suburb or service area;
    • vehicle registration;
    • vehicle details;
    • service selection;
    • odometer reading where requested;
    • payment details;
    • any other information reasonably required.

    Logcheck Online is not responsible for issues caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by you.

  6. ACCOUNT AND DIGITAL LOGBOOK

    When you use Logcheck Online, an account and digital logbook may be created for you.

    Your digital logbook may store information such as:

    • vehicle registration;
    • vehicle details;
    • service history;
    • odometer readings;
    • invoices;
    • service notes;
    • future service reminders;
    • eSafety check / pink slip reminders;
    • registration-related reminders;
    • booking and payment history.

    You agree that Logcheck Online may use this information to operate the platform, provide reminders, create quotes, issue invoices, improve services and support future commercial use of digital logbook data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

  7. BOOKING PROCESS

    The general booking process is:

    • You select the type of service required and your area.
    • You enter your customer and vehicle details.
    • You agree to these terms.
    • You may choose whether to receive marketing material.
    • You select the relevant service interval where applicable.
    • Logcheck Online shows the service price and included parts.
    • You select a mechanic.
    • You enter payment details and payment is processed.
    • You receive a payment receipt.
    • The mechanic confirms the booking time or contacts you to arrange a suitable time.
    • You receive booking confirmation.
    • You take the vehicle to the mechanic.
    • The mechanic completes the service.
    • Logcheck Online issues the invoice.
  8. BOOKING CONFIRMATION

    After you make payment, your booking request is sent to the selected mechanic.

    Your selected time is subject to mechanic confirmation.

    If the mechanic cannot accommodate the requested time, the mechanic may contact you to arrange a suitable alternative time.

  9. PAYMENT

    You must pay the quoted amount at the time of booking.

    Payments are processed using a third-party payment processor.

    By entering payment details, you authorise Logcheck Online or its payment processor to charge the amount shown at checkout.

    You may receive a payment receipt after payment is made.

    The final invoice will be issued by Logcheck Online after the service is marked complete.

  10. ADDITIONAL WORK

    If the mechanic identifies additional work after inspecting your vehicle, the mechanic must contact you to explain the additional work.

    Additional work will not be performed unless you approve it.

    If you approve additional work, you authorise Logcheck Online or its payment processor to charge your payment method for the additional approved amount.

    You may ask for additional work through the notes section in the booking process.

  11. CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS

    You may cancel your booking free of charge if you cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking time.

    If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled booking time, Logcheck Online may charge a cancellation fee equal to 10% of the total service price.

    If you do not attend the booking or do not make the vehicle available at the scheduled time, Logcheck Online may charge a no-show fee equal to 10% of the total service price.

    Logcheck Online may refund the remaining amount at its discretion, subject to payment processing fees, administrative costs and any costs already incurred.

  12. REFUNDS AND CREDITS

    Logcheck Online may issue refunds, partial refunds, credits or goodwill adjustments at its discretion.

    Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

    Consumer guarantees apply automatically to eligible goods and services, and customers may be entitled to remedies where those guarantees are not met.

  13. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES BEFORE SERVICE

    Before taking your vehicle to the mechanic, you must:

    • remove valuables and personal items;
    • remove sensitive documents;
    • make the vehicle reasonably accessible;
    • ensure the vehicle can be safely driven or moved unless otherwise agreed;
    • tell the mechanic about known issues, warning lights, modifications or unusual vehicle behaviour;
    • provide accurate information about the vehicle and service history.

    Logcheck Online is not responsible for loss of personal items left in the vehicle.

  14. VEHICLE INSPECTION AND DAMAGE REPORTING

    You should inspect your vehicle when you collect it.

    If you believe the vehicle has been damaged, you must notify Logcheck Online within 48 hours of collection.

    You should provide photos, details, the booking reference and any other relevant information.

    Logcheck Online may contact the mechanic to investigate the issue.

  15. WORKMANSHIP, MECHANICAL WORK AND LIABILITY

    The mechanic is responsible for the physical work performed on your vehicle.

    This includes workmanship, inspection, diagnosis, repair work, service work, parts fitted by the mechanic, safety of work, mechanical advice and compliance with applicable laws.

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logcheck Online is not responsible for:

    • mechanic workmanship;
    • mechanic negligence;
    • incorrect diagnosis by the mechanic;
    • incorrect parts or fluids fitted by the mechanic;
    • damage caused by the mechanic;
    • delays caused by the mechanic;
    • failure by the mechanic to identify an issue;
    • pre-existing vehicle issues;
    • issues caused by incorrect vehicle information supplied by you;
    • defects unrelated to the booked service.

    However, if you have a dispute, you should contact Logcheck Online first so we can help manage the dispute with the mechanic.

  16. DISPUTES

    If you have an issue with a service, you should contact Logcheck Online.

    Logcheck Online may:

    • request further information from you;
    • contact the mechanic;
    • request photos, invoices, service notes or inspection details;
    • assist with communication;
    • consider a refund, credit or other resolution;
    • refer the issue back to the mechanic where appropriate.

    You agree to give Logcheck Online and the mechanic a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

  17. PARTS WARRANTY

    Parts warranty claims should be raised with Logcheck Online.

    Logcheck Online may then work with the mechanic, supplier or relevant party to assess the claim.

    Parts warranty outcomes may depend on supplier terms, manufacturer terms, installation, use, wear and tear, vehicle condition and the cause of the issue.

  18. PINK SLIPS AND eSAFETY CHECKS

    Where available, Logcheck Online may allow customers to book pink slips, eSafety checks or related inspection services.

    Pink slips and eSafety checks are performed by authorised mechanics or inspection stations, not by Logcheck Online.

    Logcheck Online does not guarantee that your vehicle will pass a pink slip or eSafety check.

    The authorised examiner is responsible for the inspection decision and certification outcome.

    If your vehicle fails, you may need to complete repairs or further inspection at additional cost.

  19. SERVICE REMINDERS

    Logcheck Online may use your vehicle details, odometer reading, registration information and service history to send you service reminders, quotes, registration reminders and eSafety check reminders.

    Reminders are provided as a convenience only.

    You remain responsible for ensuring your vehicle is serviced, maintained, roadworthy, registered and insured as required.

  20. MARKETING

    If you tick the optional marketing checkbox, Logcheck Online may send you marketing material by email.

    You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

    Service-related emails, booking emails, invoices, receipts, reminders and important account notices may still be sent where reasonably required to provide the service.

  21. DIGITAL LOGBOOK AND SERVICE DATA

    You agree that Logcheck Online may create, store and use digital logbook data, vehicle service history, odometer readings, service records, invoices and related booking information for the purpose of providing the platform, maintaining your account, sending reminders, improving our services, preparing future quotes, resolving disputes, and developing reporting, analytics or data products.

    Any use or disclosure of personal information will be handled in accordance with the Logcheck Online Privacy Policy.

  22. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

    Logcheck Online may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the platform.

    Logcheck Online does not guarantee that the website, portal or booking system will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

  23. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Logcheck Online’s liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant service.

    Logcheck Online is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of use, inconvenience, business interruption, vehicle downtime or consequential loss, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

    Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

  24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

    Logcheck Online may update these terms from time to time.

    The version available on the website at the time of booking will apply to that booking unless otherwise required by law.

  25. GOVERNING LAW

    These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

    The parties submit to the courts of New South Wales.
